Why that distinction matters
Valuing bullion is not the hard part of this business. Holding it safely, insuring it properly, and returning the exact same metal two years later is the hard part — and it is what a lender without a vault operation cannot do.
We were doing that before we lent a dollar against any of it.
The collateral sits in a fully insured United States vault for the term. It is never shipped overseas, never lent out, never pooled. When your balance is cleared, your bars and coins come back — not equivalent metal, yours.
What this is, and is not
These are business-purpose loans. They are commercial credit, made for commercial reasons. They are not offered for personal, family or household use, and we will not write one that way.
This is not a pawn loan. Different structure, different advance rate, different cost, and a written contract with a stated payoff.
We are not a bank. No deposits, no accounts, no credit file. The metal is the underwriting, which is why the decision takes days.
