FAQ
Questions and answers
- How much can I borrow?
- Up to 65% of the market value of the bullion you pledge, with a $15,000 minimum — roughly $23,000 in collateral at that rate.
- Is there really no credit check?
- None. We underwrite the metal, not you. That said, no credit check is not a guarantee of approval — collateral is still inspected and verified.
- What is the interest rate?
- Single digit, paid interest-only monthly. The exact rate is confirmed with your terms after verification. We will not quote you a number before we have seen the metal.
- Are there fees?
- No origination fees and no prepayment penalties. Pay it down or pay it off whenever it suits you and you owe only the interest accrued.
- How long does funding take?
- Days once collateral is verified, not weeks. The variable is how quickly the metal reaches us.
- How do I get the metal to you?
- Insured mail from anywhere in the country, or in person at our Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood locations.
- Where is my collateral stored?
- A fully insured United States vault, for the whole term. Never shipped overseas, never lent out, never pooled.
- Do I get the same metal back?
- Yes. Your specific bars and coins, not equivalent weight.
- What is a margin call?
- If metal prices fall materially, your loan-to-value rises. We would contact you about adding collateral or paying down a portion to bring it back into range. Because the loan starts well below full value, ordinary swings do not trigger this.
- Can I borrow for personal reasons?
- No. These are business-purpose loans only — not for personal, family or household use.
- Which states are excluded?
- Nevada, Vermont, North Dakota and South Dakota.
- Will you lend against collector coins at their numismatic value?
- No. We lend against metal content only. If a coin is worth well above melt, borrowing against it wastes that premium.
- What if I want to repay early?
- Do. There is no prepayment penalty and no minimum interest period.
- What if I default?
- The contract sets out a defined process against the pledged collateral. It is written down before you sign, not discovered afterwards.
