Borrowing Against Silver Bullion
Silver is where borrowing beats selling most clearly, because silver is the worst metal to liquidate in a hurry — heavy, bulky and expensive to ship.

These are business-purpose loans and are not offered for personal, family or household use. Not available in Nevada, Vermont, North Dakota and South Dakota. If metal prices fall materially we may contact you about adding collateral or paying down the balance to keep the loan-to-value in range.
How this collateral is handled
Monster boxes, 100 oz bars, 10 oz bars and generic rounds are all accepted. Because silver trades far below gold per ounce, reaching the $15,000 minimum takes meaningful weight — roughly 330 ounces at current levels, or about one and a third monster boxes.
Worth knowing before you ship
- A 500 oz monster box is the cleanest silver collateral we handle.
- Junk silver (pre-1965 US coin) is accepted and valued on silver content.
- Shipping silver is heavy and expensive — one reason borrowing beats selling.
- Expect to pledge roughly $23,000 of silver to reach the $15,000 minimum loan.

Valuation
How this is valued for lending
Silver is valued the same way as gold — weight against fineness against the market — but the practical handling is different in a way that affects the arrangement. Silver carries far less value per unit of weight and volume, so an equivalent loan means substantially more physical material to move, verify and store. None of that is difficult; it simply means logistics are a real part of the conversation rather than an afterthought.
The exposure
What moves against you
Silver is more volatile than gold, historically moving further in both directions, and that matters directly here: a more volatile collateral has less headroom before a ratio comes under pressure. Silver also has substantial industrial demand, so it can respond to manufacturing conditions rather than only to the monetary factors that move gold. Neither makes it poor collateral. Both are reasons to be more conservative about how much you draw against it.
